Three hours in a working coppersmith's shop in the Khan, learning to chase and hammer a small tray or bowl with a family that has been doing it on this lane for four generations. You keep what you make, however wonky. Tea, a lot of noise, and a proper look at the part of the souq that is not selling anything to tourists.
